Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Pacific Grove Hospital
Pacific Grove Hospital in Riverside, CA is looking for dedicated and passionate Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) to join our nursing team.
Available ShiftFull Time. Day or Night shift (7:00 – 7:00). 3 x 12‑hour shifts.

LVN pay ranges from $28 to $32 per hour. Compensation may vary by location, role, skill set, and experience. A reasonable salary range is provided for California positions.
Purpose StatementProvide nursing care and services within the scope of nursing practice as defined by state regulations and hospital policies. Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times. Recognize patient safety as a top priority.
Essential Functions- Monitor patient health and administer basic care utilizing the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice in carrying out care plan objectives and goals.
- Role model expectations related to customer service and demonstrate a sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety.
- Collaborate with others to ensure that patients’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met and, when they are not, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints.
- Provide basic comfort and implement individualized nursing interventions that support patient well‑being.
- Apply appropriate interventions toward the patient’s recovery and maintenance of wellness.
- Discuss the care provided with the patient and listen to their concerns; report status changes to registered nurses and physicians.
- Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, coworkers, and others involved in the patient’s treatment in an effective manner.
- Provide safe medication delivery in accordance with policies, procedures, physicians’ orders, and current practice.
- Maintain professional nursing standards per facility policy, external governing and credentialing bodies, performance‑improvement standards, and psychiatric nursing standards.
- Accurately document patient symptoms, responses, and progress.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
- One or more years of nursing experience within the clinical area of service provided by the facility preferred.
- Current LPN/LVN license as required by state.
- CPR and de‑escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
