Outside Sales Representative

Responsibilities

• Direct the Outside Sales Representative role, prospecting, cold calling and closing new waste and recycling service accounts within the assigned territory.
• Provide effective communication by explaining services and benefits to prospecting clients.
• Report directly to the Sales Manager.
• Present and sell company services to potential clients.
• Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and new leads.
• Follow up on new leads and referrals from field activity.
• Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
• Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
• Prepare paperwork to activate new services and document activity in our Customer Relationship Management tool.
• Develop and implement special sales activities to increase sales.
• Participate in marketing events such as chamber of commerce events, trade shows, telemarketing events.
• Proactively communicate with other departments like finance, operations, collections, and customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma / GED
• Valid Driver's License
• 4+ years’ experience in sales and experience with cold calling.
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Bachelor's Degree
• Waste and/or Transportation experience

Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
