Alarm Security Technician

This position is responsible for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of alarm security systems.

• Install or update burglar alarms, IT cameras and access control systems in commercial buildings.
• Test and repair existing alarm/IT cameras and access controls systems to the prescribed standards.
• Perform routine inspections.
• Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers equipment as needed.
• Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports.
• Inspect and maintain company truck and all related equipment, putting in repair requests as necessary to maintain safe operation.
• Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

• Must have a minimum of two years' experience in security alarm/access control industry.
• State issued TST License highly desired.
• Experience with commercial systems preferred.
• Troubleshooting skills.
• Display knowledge of principles, practices, codes and regulations related to the work.
• Interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations without supervision.
• Must be flexible with scheduling requirements that occasionally will require evening, weekend and/or out-of-town assignments.
• Requires the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
• Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
• Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is required.
• Must have valid driver's license with clean driving record.

• Industrial, Commercial, & Residential building environment with moderate to high noise levels, and comfort with working at heights.
• Mostly a physically demanding role. Most of the daily demand is standing and walking stairs and climbing ladders.
• May need to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to be on the phone and computer consistently throughout the day.

• Our ideal candidate will have a range between two years' experience working as an Apprentice up to an experienced Technician requiring no supervision.
• The compensation range for this role $28 to $40 per hour based on experience and fire alarm licensing.
