The Youth Partner establishes and implements support services for children and youth, serving as a liaison for their involvement and offering support as needed.
Essential Functions- Serves as consumer representative to program activities
- Engages in one-on-one relationships for skill-building
- Provides introduction and engagement support for families entering services
- Coordinates with the management team in program development and implementation
- Participates in consumer advocate training
- Provides linkage of families with appropriate services and advocates for them when necessary
Education and Experience
- High school diploma/GED required
- Must be a former consumer, caregiver, or relative of a special needs child who has received services from a child-serving agency
- Lived experience (Foster youth, System of care)
- Reliable transportation required
- Must be physically and mentally fit, with willingness to complete TB and drug screening tests
- Must be willing to complete a personal background investigation
- Flexible schedule required, with possible nights, weekends, and split shifts
- Able to work in office or outdoor environment, with standing, walking, running, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, balancing, and lifting up to 25 pounds
- Able to perform Pro-Act Restraint Techniques, CPR, and First Aid as trained
- Able to sit for prolonged periods in a vehicle for traveling up to 100 miles
