About the Role
Join us as a Material Handler - 2nd Shift at US Farathane
, a leading plastic manufacturer serving the automotive industry for over 40 years. This role is located in Riverside, MO and requires a strong focus on material handling, equipment maintenance, and safety.
- Maintain Central Load room – correct use of material on all color and material changes.
- Use Bill of Material located on Basic IV for all material changes.
- Log all material type changes and follow FIFO procedure when replacing material in Central Load room and Components.
- Weigh parts running without scales and scan and properly identify all assigned product.
- Put away finished product correctly and remove all stock, packaging, and assembly equipment from the press at the time of all mold changes.
- Keep presses stocked with totes and skids, keep returnable storage area stocked, keep front wall, front aisle, and back aisle clear at all times.
- Perform all Housekeeping duties in conformance to the Housekeeping Verification.
- Change and recharge batteries when necessary and keep returnable lids picked up.
- Any other duties as assigned by Plant Supervision.
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience/training; equivalent combination acceptable. Hi‑lo experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Ability to recognize numbers and not transpose digits.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions; manage multiple tasks at one time.
Employees are regularly required to stand, use hands, drive a forklift or pallet jack, walk, lift up to 35 lbs, and perform other manual tasks. Good hand‑eye coordination, moderate vision abilities, and tolerance of moving machinery and vibration are required.
Working ConditionsTasks are performed indoors in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, moderate noise, occasional heat and vibration, and potential outdoor exposure for short periods. Loose clothing that can get caught in machinery must be avoided.
