Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Metal Finisher / Powder Coater to join our production department. This position requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience with metal grinding and batch powder coating
. This hands-on role involves preparing, grinding, finishing, and powder coating metal components to precise specifications. - Grind, sand, polish, and deburr metal parts to achieve smooth finishes.
- Blend and finish welds to meet aesthetic standards.
- Read and interpret drawings and work orders to meet job requirements.
- Inspect parts for accuracy and quality.
- Prepare surfaces for coating, including cleaning, masking, and blasting.
- Set up and operate powder coating spray guns, booths, and ovens.
- Apply powder coatings to achieve consistent coverage, color, and finish.
- Inspect finished parts for quality and make adjustments as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work closely with fabricators, welders, and other team members to meet production goals.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in metal finishing/grinding and batch powder coating.
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to read manufacturing drawings and technical job specifications.
- Physical stamina: ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Safety-minded, dependable, and team-oriented.
- Experience blending TIG/MIG welds.
- Mechanical aptitude for equipment setup and troubleshooting.
