Job Summary:
The Machine Operator (Fabrication Tech
1) will be responsible for training in all activities related to the shop floor, including skills in cutting, grooving, hole cutting, assembly, catalog management, and shop floor platform knowledge (Mendix) as provided by a certified trainer. The Tech 1 will work closely with the lead to enforce all policies and procedures. Duties may vary based on business needs.
- Enforce a safe work environment; report incidents, near misses, and safety-related matters properly to lead/management.
- Maintain attendance.
- Perform daily shop floor operations.
- Ensure quality standards per Victaulic’s requirements are met.
- Follow current project schedules and manage materials.
- Perform all operations associated with the fabrication cell proficiently.
- Complete daily checklists and TPMs.
- Be certified on all equipment.
- Complete all 5S duties.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Lead/Management.
- Monitor daily performance.
- Address project issues promptly.
- Meet all set goals.
- Ensure TPMs are completed.
- Collaborate with Fab lead on FEM initiatives.
- Become certified in at least 5S FEM discipline.
- High School diploma required.
- Minimum of 3 years of technical experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical manuals.
- Forklift license required for specified equipment (must be obtained after employment).
- Experience with forklift-mounted computers and barcode scanners (training available on the job).
