UCR Health and the University of California, Riverside (UCR) School of Medicine is recruiting cardiology clinicians. The clinician‑educator will support the inpatient and outpatient clinical practice in cardiology within an academic setting. The incumbent will practice at UCR Health Clinics and/or UCR‑affiliated clinical facilities in Riverside and surrounding areas. We seek a board‑certified cardiologist to join our team of medical professionals.
As a cardiologist, you will work with patients to provide a full range of heart and cardiovascular services and treatments. You will perform tests, make diagnoses, provide treatment plans, and collaborate with other physicians and surgeons. Decision‑making, emotional resilience, and collaboration in a diverse environment are essential.
Requirements- Educational Requirements: Must possess an M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree.
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of one year of practice post‑residency from an accredited program. Fellowship training in cardiology or a related subspecialty is preferred.
- License Requirements: Legal licensure to practice medicine in California, maintenance of California Medical License, and DEA prescribing number.
- Certification Requirements: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and a valid certificate from the American Medical Specialty Board as a specialist in Cardiology or a subspecialty.
- Other Requirements: Medical staff privileges at UCR Health and affiliated hospitals; ability to work with diverse populations; strong communication skills; background in clinical practice, teaching, and managed care; ability to work independently under general direction and collaboratively with others.

- Specialty Patient Care: Engage in direct patient care activities including assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, ongoing treatment, referral, care planning, medication orders, and discharge preparation.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation to meet regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Instruct residents, interns, and students in specialized medical services.
- Communication (85%): Direct contact and consultation with patient family members to ensure clear communication of status and care plans.
