High School Counselor

Riverton Unified School District No. 404 is currently seeking a High School Counselor for the  school year. The successful candidate must work collaboratively with the administrative team- other building level counselors- and instructional staff in order to help students attain an optimal level of personal and social adjustment. Applicants must be organized- efficient-and student friendly. The high school counselor is heavily involved in the development of the master schedule and student enrollment process.

As assigned by the principal.

Minimum requirements for consideration are as follows:

• Masters degree from an accredited college/university.
• Two years classroom teaching experience
• Current Kansas Teaching License with 7-12 School Counselor Endorsement

Riverton U.S.D. 404 is located in an unincorporated community in the southeast corner of Kansas. The district borders both Oklahoma and Missouri and encompasses approximately 60 square miles. Enrollment for the 2024-25 school year is 679 andthe High School competes in the 3A classification.
