Overview
Join Smith's Food & Drug Centers as a PHARMACY/CERTIFIED TECH in Salt Lake City, Utah. Provide exceptional customer service and direct patient intervention by delivering health and wellness services and experiences in line with state and federal laws.

Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists in all pharmacy responsibilities except those requiring a pharmacist’s professional judgment.
- Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
- Support non‑dispensing services through various platforms and applications.
- Perform post‑fill audits to verify prescription information and maintain accurate records.
- Compound medications in compliance with state regulations.
- Complete all aspects of CLIA‑waived screenings according to state and federal law.
- Perform health and wellness services permitted by state and regulatory bodies.
- Comply with and reinforce sanitation, safety regulations, and health code guidelines; report unsafe conditions.
- Report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
- Work with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Support the ongoing coaching and training of clerks and technicians.

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information.
- Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure.
- Any previous comparable experience.
- Equivalent pharmacy technician experience.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and company policies.
- Current national and/or state registration, certification, or license.
- Strong customer service skills and efficient data handling.
- Experience supporting training of clerks and technicians.
- Ability to compound medications and conduct post‑fill audits.
- Familiarity with CLIA‑waived screenings and health and wellness services.
- Commitment to safety, sanitation, and compliance with health code regulations.
- Willingness to report illegal activity.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
