GSD Global Support Tech Generalist Spanish/English Required (Swing Shift)

Position Summary:

Supports leaders, members, and the workforce across the Church by delivering first‑line technical assistance for desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, software, operating systems, and related policies.

This is a full‑time position requiring 40 hours per week during the swing shift (11:30 am–8:00 pm). Under the current Alternative Work Arrangement (AWA), at least one in‑office day per week is required; the candidate must live close to the office and may work additional days as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the initial point of contact for customers via phone, email, or live chat to provide technical support of hardware, systems, sub‑systems, applications, and/or relevant policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical support for hardware, systems, sub‑systems, and/or applications.
  • Assist with navigating application menus, potentially remote‑controlling a customer’s computer.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, collaborating with remote employees on corporate or Local Unit networks.
  • Develop and sustain a productive customer relationship, keeping customers and their needs a primary focus.
  • Offer alternative solutions when appropriate.
  • Record all customer contact information in the CRM system.
  • Escalate more complex problems to the Global Tech Support Specialist when appropriate.
  • Perform work under general supervision.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.
  • 0 to 2 years of previous computer technical support experience.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish and English is required.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, Church meetinghouse technology, and network troubleshooting, including locating IP or TCP/IP addresses, VPN software, and supporting remote users.
  • Understanding of Active Directory to unlock and reset passwords.
  • Proficient with troubleshooting all Windows operating systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Outstanding customer skills, with the ability to empathize and professionally troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
