Syndicate Quality Technician
Silencer Co – Full‑time, Day Shift (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Thursday) – Riverston, UT
Position OverviewQuality Technicians inspect all products throughout production and pre‑shipment to ensure they meet our high standards for precision and durability. They play a role in ensuring products meet blueprint specifications and other fit, form and function requirements. They are also responsible for maintaining and validating measuring equipment/gauges for quality, issuing them to operators and co‑workers, and ensuring accurate product inspection at their workstations.
Job Responsibilities- Kit measuring instruments for upcoming machine changeovers to minimize downtime.
- Read and comprehend blueprints, data, manuals, SOPs, or other documentation to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required.
- Problem‑solve non‑conforming issues within the shop.
- Create and implement process improvements regularly.
- Operate coordinate measuring machines, Keyence optical measurement systems, surface roughness testers, and other advanced metrology equipment.
- Execute regular Quality Certification Service (QCS) on products.
- Report features or parts that don't conform to design intent (NCR).
- Examine and verify supplier‑provided documentation, including First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), certificates of conformance, and various test reports.
- Use precision measuring tools to conduct detailed visual and dimensional inspections.
- Validate and maintain all measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, thread gauges, etc.
- Document inspection results, making clear acceptance or rejection decisions and generate required reports for clients.
- Comply with safe work practices; understand work injury procedures, workers’ comp, and OSHA standards.
- Provide support to the shop floor to uphold Syndicate’s quality standards for all products.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and other departments to interpret specifications, troubleshoot quality problems, and provide input for design improvements.
- Have a solid foundation in shop math, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry, and hands‑on experience with precision measurement tools.

- Look for opportunities to create and implement continuous improvement.
- Support FAI and mass production KPIs.
- Reduce SCAR.
- High School Diploma.
- 1 year of manufacturing quality work experience.
- Knowledge and experience with ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
- Basic understanding of mathematics; knowledge of the imperial system/decimal inch, arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and other applications.
- Quality Analysis – Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Critical Thinking – Using logic and reasoning to suggest alternative solutions to problems.
- Basic computer skills – Experience with Excel, Word, Solid Works, PowerPoint, and Google Suite.
- Detail‑oriented – Inspection requires meticulous attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the firearms industry.
