Entry Level Civil Engineer

IME is looking for a self-motivated individual to work, under the supervision of senior engineers, on a wide array of projects. Responsibilities include project management of engineering projects, client contact and development, and personnel management. Entry-level engineers are immediately required to be able to perform engineering calculations and reporting. Typically, projects are located in Wyoming; however, some travel throughout the Rocky Mountain Region is likely.

Travel is dictated by our clients and projects.

Typical duties will depend on the applicant’s technical and professional experience may include:

• Ability to foster and maintain positive and effective professional relationships with clients, and colleagues.
• Must be able to follow instructions, and work independently, or as part of a project team.
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely, logical manner and exercise discretion and good judgment in accomplishing assigned tasks and goals.
• Must have strong communication, interpersonal, and intellectual skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow multiple projects and tasks to completion.
• Under general supervision of the IME Board and Executive team, be able to effectively promote IME's services and expand clientele.
• Become proficient with computer programs associated with Microsoft Office Suite operating systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
• Ability to become proficient in the use of laboratory and field-testing equipment and procedures.
• Ability to coordinate personnel and clients’ schedules efficiently and cost-effectively in order to meet the needs of our clients and project budgets on multiple projects.
• Ability to read and comprehend technically written material.
• Ability and willingness to market all of IME’s services.
• Ability to manage projects including meeting deadlines, reviewing other work, and writing proposals and technical reports using sound engineering practices.

Salary Grade- $28.40 - $32.44 (Staff I)

Travel up to 50%

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Knowledge of civil engineering
• Proficiency in applicable software tools, including MS Office Suite.
• Strong organizational and written communication skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, and drug/alcohol test
