Clinic LPN-ENT Clinic - PRN

Provides professional nursing care to patients in the clinic/outpatient setting in compliance with professional practice standards. Promotes a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach towards patients, families and all members of the care delivery team. The position is essential for the functioning of the Sage West Medical Group. The workload is generated by the number of patients the provider encounters each day. Requires ability to make decisions and judgments based on knowledge and experience.

• Implement and evaluate patient care. Participate in the development of a patient-specific care plan.
• Provide direct patient care including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
• Delegate, prioritize, request and accept guidance and assistance from others to assure delivery of care in a safe and timely manner.
• Ensure own professional effectiveness through continued education and professional development.
• Assist in the transporting of patients, specimens, supplies and equipment and in the maintenance and stocking of supplies and equipment to assure optimal functioning of the department.
• May triage patient phone calls, counsel patients, provide patient education, take patient histories, administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds and monitor patient vital signs.
