• Organize training to educate new staff or introduce new procedures and protocols.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide corrective measures if necessary.
• Ensure that patients receive high‑quality, safe, and evidence‑based care.
• Assess, monitor, and care for patients.
• Communicate with upper management regarding nurse performance, staffing issues, and changes to treatment protocols.
• Assist DON with yearly budget for nursing staff.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as creating staff schedules and ordering supplies.
• Delegate staff responsibilities quickly and effectively during busy shifts or emergency situations.
• Manage nursing staff at specified locations.
• Assign nursing staff to patient care teams.
• Coordinate with other staff to determine organized measures to best care for patients.
• Act as a point of leadership for the healthcare team.
• Act as a liaison for patients and families, providing them with updates regarding their care and treatment.
• Perform typical nursing duties as needed.
• Report to supervisor (DON) as needed.
• Other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the department.
