Summer Student: Records Clerk Assistant

The Town of Riverview is seeking a candidate for the summer student position of Records Clerk Assistant with the Department of Finance and IT from May 19, 2026, to August 28, 2026.

The selected candidate will be responsible for organizing, filing, and records of management documents. The incumbent will also work on inputting equipment/apparatus maintenance schedules into an electronic system.

• Creating, reviewing and adjusting record inventory sheets
• Assisting with the management of digital records management system
• Classifying records according to standard categorization
• Reviewing both digital and physical documentation, at times confidential in nature
• Scanning and uploading documents into records management system
• Working at a variety of Town facilities to perform records management functions
• Other duties as assigned

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to adhere to established policies and procedures
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrate adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies
• Take on evolving responsibilities as business needs change
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
• Capability to lift and move 20 lbs. boxes
