$15.00/hr - $17.00/hr

This employee is responsible for carrying out the lesson plans of the teacher for whom he/she is substituting and meeting the duties of teaching as outlined in policies and procedures of the Pepin Academies.

• Follow the lesson plans left by the teacher for whom he/she is substituting in accordance with the Pepin Academies’ philosophy, goals and objectives
• If long term substitute, develop lesson plans as appropriate for the class and students
• Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated
• Establish and maintain order in the classroom
• Maintain a classroom environment conductive to effective learning
• Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials and equipment and facilities
• Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations and Pepin Academies’ policies
• Establish and maintain cooperative relations with other employees
• Report to the Director or his/her designee at the beginning and end of the school day
