Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient examination, procedures, and treatment.
• Obtain patient histories, perform routine lab procedures, and prepare specimens for lab transport.
• Follow up on test orders, report results to provider and patient, provide and maintain patient education materials, maintain medical equipment, and order clinical supplies.
• Create and maintain patient electronic medical record (EMR).
• Comply with all OSHA and CLIA regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Approved Medical Assistant Certification or active license/certification within 6 months of hire date.
• Or EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) / NREMT or Paramedic.
• Or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse).
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Preferred: 2 years Medical Assistant experience.
