Overview

EōS Fitness is seeking a highly motivated and sales driven leader to take on the role of Fitness Manager. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about sales and helping our members achieve their health and wellness goals. Reporting to the District Fitness Manager, the Fitness Manager will spend time in the club working on the floor, setting appointments, and building relationships with the members while selling training packages and developing their team of personal trainers to do the same.

The Fitness Manager must have a passion for fitness, demonstrate a drive for success, and a history of commitment, delivering results, and motivating clients.

Position purpose

Build a cohesive Personal Training (PT) team, ensure they have a healthy pipeline of clients, and that those clients and other members are receiving an exceptional fitness experience.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve sales targets month-over-month, driving membership growth, and ensuring the team meets or exceeds goals for new personal training agreements, client retention, and overall revenue generation.
  • Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding, drive sales initiatives, and establish a smooth transition into the club experience.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff including Personal Training Managers, Assistant Fitness Managers, and Personal Trainers.
  • Manage payroll for Assistant Fitness Managers and personal trainers to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to other department leaders and staff, ensuring clarity of roles.
  • Ensure staff have appropriate certifications and training (e.g., CPR, First Aid, personal trainer certifications).
  • Provide constructive feedback to staff on performance with clear, specific language.
  • Maintain high-quality customer service by addressing member concerns, managing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Engage with members in a friendly manner, listening to needs and providing helpful responses.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintain certifications, and implement safety protocols.
  • Supervise maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including equipment, locker rooms, and common areas.
  • Communicate calmly and clearly with staff and members during emergencies, providing necessary instructions and updates.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of management experience; fitness/personal training management a plus
  • 3-4 years of customer service experience
  • Personal Training sales experience preferred
  • Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills across all levels
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, time management, organization, and record-keeping
  • Excellent MS Office skills

Requirements
  • Must successfully pass background check
  • CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Must have valid PT certification
  • Previous sales experience required
  • Ability to work in a gym setting; mobility on club floors; ability to communicate with employees, members, and the public
  • Ability to access and operate company computer systems
  • Ability to lift more than 40 lbs
Compensation and Benefits
  • Base pay range: $58,656.00/yr - $60,008.00/yr
