Job Role
- Conduct all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations. Wear proper personal protective equipment.
- Attend and successfully complete required technician training classes. Maintain high awareness of applicable technical changes in the industry.
- Maintain the necessary set of tools required for job performance to diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company owned equipment, including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs.
- Work in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways of improving the methods of work, work area, and safety standards.
- Inspect components to ensure maximum parts are being reused to control repair costs. Complete required documentation using appropriate software to record repairs performed on equipment and account for repair times.
- Monitor job expenses versus repair estimates and ensure that the supervisor is aware of any cost overrun prior to the job being completed.
- Approach work in a positive manner and maintain conduct that supports the work team. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations. Train and/or mentor others in the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
