Position Details- Location:
St. Joseph's Hospital South – Progressive Care Unit – Riverview, Florida - Status:
Full Time - Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- Every other weekend requirement
- On Call:
Yes - Always in person

- RN (Registered Nurse) License
- Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
- 2‑years' RN experience in an Acute Care setting
- BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
- Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of PCU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
- Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
- Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
- Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments
- Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
- Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
- Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
- High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
