Summary:
The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner eph's Hospital-South supports the Emergency Room (ER), Emergency Department Observation Unit (EDOU), and Administrators on Duty (AODs). This role develops and leads education that strengthens clinical competency, evidence-based practice, quality outcomes, and professional growth across these teams.
Your Role Within the Team:
- Develop and evaluate education that supports clinical excellence and professional development
- Facilitate orientation, onboarding, and ongoing competency development
- Serve as a resource for evidence-based practice, clinical education, and emergency nursing care
- Partner with nursing leaders to support patient safety, quality improvement, and practice advancement
- Provide guidance on competencies, certification opportunities, and professional development
- Promote engagement, lifelong learning, and continuous practice improvement
- Perform Registered Nurse functions and other duties as assigned, as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- BSN with 3 years of clinical experience
- Clinical nursing experience in Emergency Nursing or Emergency Department Observation,
Preferred:
- Professional organization certification
- ANPD certification
- Emergency and/or observation nursing experience
- Previous education, preceptor, mentoring, or leadership experience
