Veterinarian - Livewell Animal Hospital of Riverview

Mission Pet Health invites you to join Livewell Animal Hospital of Riverview located in Riverview, Florida, a highly regarded practice known for its patient-centered care and a 4.8‑star Google rating.

As a veterinarian you will provide high‑quality care across the full spectrum of modern veterinary medicine, including physical examinations, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry, while fostering strong relationships with pet owners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop rapport with clients, assess their needs and wishes.
  • Perform physical examinations and implement diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures with the aim of delivering the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
  • Explain examination findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans to clients; educate clients on preventive health care, vaccines, and nutritional products.
  • Maintain accurate client/patient medical/surgical records and ensure logs are kept up-to-date.
  • Stay current with veterinary medicine advances and attend Continuing Education meetings.
  • Assist in developing the paraprofessional team to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Represent the hospital positively in the professional community and to the public.
  • Treat each client and patient with a family‑like approach.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Florida.
  • Professional comportment and appearance, excellent interpersonal skills, and a positive, friendly attitude.
  • Strong decision‑making and clear communication skills with teammates.
  • Respectful, willing to work closely with clients and their pets.
  • Compassionate team player committed to the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
  • Proficiency in surgery is a plus.
