We’re looking for two full-time chefs to join our team at St Ignatius’ College Riverview
.
If bulk cooking is your strength, this could be the perfect role for you. You’ll be preparing fresh, nutritious meals for our students and working alongside a supportive and experienced kitchen team in a positive school environment.
$32.00- $34.00 per hour + 12% Super
OverviewRole overview and key responsibilities for the Chef position at St Ignatius Riverview.
Responsibilities- Prepare fresh, nutritious meals daily for students
- Assist with functions and events throughout the year
- Monitor stock and minimize wastage while maintaining hygiene standards
- Deliver healthy meal choices and guidance to students
- Work independently and as part of a team, with bulk cooking experience
This role involves working evenings and weekends as the senior supervisor on-site during dinner service, confidently leading the team and handling any challenges that arise. You will also build strong relationships through clear and professional communication with boarding supervisors and the Boarding Director, ensuring smooth and enjoyable operations for all.
The Position- Work-Life Balance – Enjoy set hours:

- Minimum Cert. III in Commercial Cookery
- Current Working with Children Check, or ability to obtain
- Experience with bulk cooking and supervising a team preferred
