Overview

Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T2235) rting hourly rate: 15.50 USD per hour.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and resolve concerns.
• Make guests aware of current promos, store activities and events.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store and in your area to solve issues and improve the guest experience.
• Thank guests and let them know you’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Know and discuss the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
• Explain how to use Target App features (including Wallet) and be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering;
• Direct guests to enroll, activate, and use these features as appropriate.
• Handle returns following register prompts and collaborate with leaders to resolve guest needs while adhering to Target policies.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and collect unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers for removal.
• Stock supplies during store hours and remain available for guests.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards or correct as possible.
• Support guest services such as order pickup (OPU), Drive-up (DU) orders, and relevant returns; ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies.
• Perform other duties based on business needs.

• Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office tasks as needed.
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely; frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without assistance.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance required.
• Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a shift.
• Work in varying temperatures and conditions, including Drive-Up and carryout duties.
