Occupational Therapy Assistant – Up to $33/hour – Local Traveler

Join the Rivetus Rehabilitation as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and contribute to outstanding patient care. This full‑time role travels locally within 30 miles of your home to our facilities around Riverview, MI.

Facility

Location:

Belle Fountain, 18591 Quarry Road, Riverview, MI. Reports to Director of Therapy.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, full‑time.

Pay: Up to $33 per hour.

General

Summary:

Provides occupational therapy treatment to patients following established treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Contributes to treatment development, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Role

Summary:

  • Provide occupational therapy treatments consistent with AOTAP professional and ethical standards.
  • Document accurately to maintain quality medical records and support reimbursement guidelines.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines for effective total patient care.
  • Assure delivery of quality care.
  • Participate in discharge planning to ensure continued care and provide patient/family instruction.
  • Perform all core duties of an OTA.
  • Contribute to a team philosophy within the department and company.
  • Delegate work assignments, responsibilities, and patients to support staff as needed.
  • Supervise students and volunteers.
  • Represent the Occupational Therapy Department to family, visitors, and personnel; attend care conferences as requested.
  • Communicate effectively with department staff, company personnel, patients, families, and department head.
  • Secure equipment for patients and department supplies as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Licensure required by the State of Michigan.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Professional judgement and initiative when analyzing problems and recommending solutions.
  • Initiative and flexibility in the work environment.
  • Effective responsiveness to patient and family needs.
  • Physical ability to bend, position, transfer, and lift patients from 80 to over 300 pounds, using recommended lifting devices.
