Restaurant Manager – Atria Management Company
Join our team to oversee all dining venues, ensuring exceptional service and operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Overall operations and service of meals in all dining venues.
- Hire, train, develop, and manage performance of wait staff.
- Provide high levels of customer service and create a restaurant‑style dining atmosphere.
- Work closely with Director of Culinary Services and Executive Director to keep residents satisfied with food, service, and dining programs.
- Assist with the preparation and execution of the Art of Atria Dining enhancement programs.
- Review the daily menu with residents and staff, orient new residents to menus, dining room hours, dress code.
- Resolve issues promptly, assist with room service delivery per company policy.
- Document resident attendance and meal use.
- Train staff on quality enhancement standards and maintain cleanliness of dining rooms.
- Create cleaning schedules, ensure dishes, silverware, glassware handled according to guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, crisp dining environment, confirm table settings, floor cleanliness, and equipment upkeep.
- Assist with transportation and storage of food and supplies, ensure side work completed each shift.
- Coach, interview, hire, and develop wait staff; conduct performance appraisals.
- Support back‑of‑house operations as needed; assist with special events, banquets, theme meals.
- Communicate resident preferences and complaints to food service staff.
- Conduct pre‑meal stand‑ups, attend resident meetings, and participate in department meetings.
- Manage schedules according to resident census and budgets; communicate orders accurately to avoid waste.
- Assist in menu development based on resident likes and dislikes.
- Ensure safety and security procedures are followed; perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required; minimum two (2) years of front‑of‑house supervisory experience.
- College or culinary institute degree preferred.
- Strong organization and time‑management skills.
- Basic computer skills – Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Able to carry a tray with at least six (6) meals and/or beverages at any given time.
