Network Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

Network Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for design, deployment and maintenance of a diverse world class global network. This position will work with our client and internal business partners to develop a fault tolerant network solution. Using knowledge of Local Area and Wide Area Networks to support mission critical client applications. They will develop the design, coordinate the installation of equipment, circuits and work with the client to enable the application across the network.

Each Engineer is assigned a list of sites they will maintain and develop ongoing relationships to enhance the ability to facilitate change.

• Follow standard processes to coordinate the add, change and removal of client connections over an MPLS backbone network as well as Site to Site VPN connections.
• Support network wide updates and security enhancements.
• Respond to Network Operations escalations.
• Support audit requests and findings.
• Develop and maintain network drawings and documentation.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 2 years of experience in Managing IT projects or operations teams.
• At least 2 years Technical Operations experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with IT systems and infrastructure.
• At least 2 years experience with desktop platforms and operating systems.
• At least 2 years of experience with incident management and reporting tools.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience in MPLS data network engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in data Network Operations on an MPLS network.
• 2+ years of experience with Service Now.
• 3+ years of experience in Project Management (planning, executing, tracking).
• 1+ year of experience with Cisco networking products.
• 1+ years of experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• 1+ years of experience with Splunk.
• 1+ year of experience with Riverbed.
• 1+ years of experience Wireshark.
• Network Address Translations and Access Lists.
• 1+ year of experience with TCP/IP Protocol.
• 1+ year of experience with ISO-8583 protocol.
