Accounts Payable Specialist

We’re looking for a detail-driven Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's finance team and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in accuracy.

What You’ll Do:

• Review and process vendor invoices, matching them to purchase orders and receipts.
• Ensure expenses are correctly coded for general ledger posting.
• Build strong relationships with vendors while handling inquiries by phone and email.
• Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders.
• Prepare payments, including checks, wires, and ACH transactions.
• Support month-end close by reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and resolving outstanding issues.
• Maintain organized digital records of all invoices and payment documentation.
• Oversee clearing and disbursement account reconciliations each month.
• Assign vendor classifications and related GL accounts.
• Jump in to support the accounting team wherever needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 5 years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience.
• Proven skill with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
• ERP expertise, with Epicor experience required.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep multiple priorities moving.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
