AboutThe Role
The Accounts Payable Lead is responsible for overseeing the end‑to‑end accounts payable process to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards and Saudi tax regulations. This role requires a detail‑oriented professional who can manage daily operations, guide team members, and ensure that all payments, reconciliations, and reporting activities are performed efficiently and in accordance with company policies.
What You’ll Do- Ensure proper accounting for the APs, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and 3‑way match.
- Prepare a detailed Daily Invoice Tracker indicating the status of invoices processed and outstanding.
- Ensure timely processing of all invoices without delays.
- Conduct month‑end closing as per management deadlines.
- Ensure proper deduction of WHT as per Saudi Tax Law.
- Ensure proper application of VAT.
- Prepare and submit WHT and VAT returns monthly.
- Prepare reconciliations monthly.
- Facilitate internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Provide guidance to team members in execution of their daily tasks.
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit inquiries.
- Perform other tasks and ad‑hoc requirements as assigned by the line manager.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Professional Qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA or CMA) preferred.
- SOCPA registration required.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP (mandatory).
- Fluent in Arabic and English.
- At least 6 years of experience in an Accounts Payable department, shared services, including 3 years at the AP Head / Lead position.
- Good knowledge of Saudi Tax Laws, especially WHT and VAT.
- Capable of handling work pressure and meeting deadlines with professionalism.
