Job Summary
On behalf of our client we are looking for a Senior Accountant – General to join our client’s company in Riyadh. This role handles accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness, including auditing master records and transactional data.
Responsibilities- Responsible for day-to-day accounting functions.
- Perform monthly review of general ledger for month‑end close to ensure transactions are properly recorded for financial statement preparation.
- Recommend, review, and monitor compliance with financial policies, procedures, and controls.
- Prepare, monitor, and interpret monthly financial reports and analyses.
- Oversee all supervisory duties of the General Accounting team and assist in the completion of the agency’s independent audit.
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of all monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Execute accounting data to internal tax accountant as necessary for corporate income tax filings.
- Review and approve bank reconciliations, intra‑company reconciliations, and other month‑end general ledger reconciliations.
- Review and approve journal entries to ensure proper general ledger and closing.
- Perform month‑end account closing activities and reconciliations.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals and variances.
- Generate and distribute account management reports and financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Perform accounting analysis for cash accruals, account payables, account receivables, reconciliations, and foreign exchange.
- Support auditors in conducting internal and external audits.
- Assist in tax preparation and filing activities.
- Perform accounting analyses and reporting to support decision‑making purposes.
- Provide support for internal and external audits.
- Process, review, and monitor Expected Credit Losses (ECL) provisions as per IFRS.
- Monthly review of the fixed assets register and all transactions (addition, retirement, depreciation, etc.) to ensure proper recording for financial statement preparation.
- Bachelor of Commerce – Accounting.
- At least 5‑year experience in General Accounting.
- Excellent level in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent level in other Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with SAP and other ERP systems.
