Accountant – Financial Reporting

Location:

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Parsons Corporation is looking for a Saudi National finance professional who can independently manage accounting activities, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, closing support, audit coordination, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently perform daily accounting activities in line with company policies, internal procedures, and applicable accounting standards.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, management reports, schedules, and supporting financial records.
  • Maintain the general ledger by preparing journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and accounting adjustments.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities while meeting required reporting deadlines.
  • Analyze account balances, investigate variances, identify irregularities, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and ensure balances are accurate, complete, properly supported, and reviewed on time.
  • Support internal and external audit activities by preparing schedules, gathering documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting procedures, internal controls, approval requirements, and corporate financial policies.
  • Assist in preparing and analyzing budgets, forecasts, variance reports, and financial performance summaries.
  • Provide technical accounting support and guidance to internal stakeholders when required.
  • Review financial data to identify issues, trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare clear explanations of financial information for finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Support process improvement initiatives that improve accuracy, reporting efficiency, control discipline, and data quality.
  • Assist in implementing accounting tools, reporting systems, templates, and workflow improvements.
  • Maintain organized accounting files, audit evidence, reconciliations, financial schedules, and reporting documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial queries and support business reporting requirements.
  • Uphold high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance in all accounting work.
Ideal Profile
  • Saudi National candidate.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles, accounting practices, reporting standards, reconciliations, and financial controls.
  • Experience preparing journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, financial reports, and management reporting support.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, investigate variances, and identify accounting issues.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in financial work.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to support closing activities, audit requests, budget analysis, and financial reporting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and support process improvements in accounting or reporting activities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with finance, operations, project, and corporate teams.
  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple accounting tasks within required timelines.
  • Professional approach to confidentiality, internal controls, documentation, and corporate policy compliance.
