Responsibilities
The main purpose of the Accountant job is to process and maintain government payments, register payment data, prepare daily reports for government related payments and other related transactions.
- Support and conduct the affairs of the function with the highest standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety and corporate governance.
- Ensure compliance with Code of Ethics policy and adopting company values.
- Enhance adoption and utilization of systems and ERP.
- Process the payment of employees (Iqama, work permit, exit‑re‑entry, transfers sponsor ship profession charges, chamber of commerce, traffic fines, telephone, utilities etc.).
- Ensure that the payments are made on a timely basis.
- Receive approved documents from HR department (Personnel) and timely record manual AP invoices.
- Assist the Senior Professional in reviewing the manual AP invoices and related payments.
- Initiate the payment and confirm the amount to Personnel team.
- Register all data on excel sheet to keep as a support of the entries made.
- Upload the final excel sheets with AP invoices in Oracle.
- Prepare daily reports for Government‑related payments and report to Sr. Professional and Supervisor.
- Leverage ERP / Oracle to automate the process.
- 2‑5 years’ experience in accounting or finance to a comparable sized operation to ESEC
- Bachelor in Accounting or Finance.
- Sound knowledge of government related payments.
- Proficient computer literacy on internal accounting processes and procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office Suites.
- Membership in SOCPA is required.
- Knowledge in accounting.
- Knowledge in financial analysis & reporting.
- Proficient in financial information management system.
- Knowledge in financial resources management.
- Proficient in risk management.
