WE'RE HIRING | Senior Accountant

Geo Harbour Saudi Arabia is seeking a competent and hands-on Senior Accountant with solid experience in financial reporting, Saudi tax compliance, and audit coordination. The successful candidate will take ownership of accounting operations, statutory filings, and month-end and year-end closing activities while ensuring full compliance with IFRS and ZATCA regulations. Experience in the Saudi accounting environment is highly preferred.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Handle VAT and Withholding Tax (WHT) preparation, declaration, and submission in compliance with ZATCA regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax auditors, including preparation of audit schedules, supporting documents, and audit reports.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, bank accounts, and balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Manage and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, including issuance of tax invoices and AR tracking.
• Review expense claims, payment requests, and reimbursement vouchers to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Maintain proper original documentation filing in line with local regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Manage fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights to management.
• Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
• Liaise with internal departments (HR, Procurement, and Operations) on financial matters.
• Maintain effective communication with ZATCA and stay updated on regulatory changes.
• Assist in improving accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Accounting or Finance is an advantage.
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or SOCPA) is preferred.
• 7–10 years of relevant accounting experience.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi tax regulations.
• Hands‑on experience with VAT and Withholding Tax (WHT) in compliance with ZATCA requirements.
• Experience in audit coordination and statutory reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in construction, engineering, or project-based companies is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Arabic speaker preferred.
