Senior Accountant

Overview

The Saudi business currently employs circa 475 staff across the Real Estate, Infrastructure and Natural Resource sectors and is forecast to continue growing.

Senior Accountant reporting to the KSA Finance Director, responsible for managing the Finance function and acting as a Business Partner to the local leadership team.

• Prepare clear and accurate month‑end reporting, working with Commission Leads and Finance Leads to produce Management Accounts, Financial reports, and Forecasts.
• Business partnering on project profitability, project revenue trackers, project accounting and WIP analysis.
• Maintain balance‑sheet reconciliations, articulate and manage any variances in accordance with financial reporting standards.
• Support ad‑hoc month‑end reporting aligned with the group timetable and provide commentary for variance analysis.
• Assist with the annual statutory audit and support the annual budget submission.
• Process General Ledger journal transactions for both Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
• Manage client invoicing, addressing conflicting time pressures and workload demands.
• Reconcile inter‑company accounts and take necessary action on variances.
• Support payroll functions: prepare monthly payroll, generate payroll journals, and respond to payroll queries.
• Ensure compliance with KSA VAT and tax laws and practices.

• Minimum 5 years post‑qualified experience as an accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Preferably with experience in an MNC consultancy or construction industry.
• Strong Excel skills and organisational abilities, comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of KSA VAT and tax regulations is a significant advantage.
