Position Title: Financial Operations Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to oversee the company's day-to-day financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and compliance with approved financial policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
The role will be responsible for managing accounting operations, financial closing activities, reconciliations, financial reporting, and accounts receivable and payable, while supporting financial control, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making across Reef Group
.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the recording and processing of all daily financial transactions.
- Review and approve accounting journal entries and ensure their accuracy and completeness before financial closing.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes according to approved timelines.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
- Monitor general ledger balances and ensure timely and accurate account reconciliations.
- Oversee bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of related financial transactions.
- Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations and ensure compliance with approved procedures.
- Develop and improve accounting processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce operational errors.
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal financial policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide the required financial information and supporting documentation.
- Support the annual budgeting process in coordination with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team.
- Monitor financial variances, analyze their root causes, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Supervise the accounting team, assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and support continuous development.
- Prepare periodic financial reports and analysis for senior management to support business decision-making.
- Ensure proper financial controls are maintained across accounting operations.
- Identify operational and financial risks within accounting processes and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Monitor the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data across the company's ERP and financial systems.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the direct manager or their delegate.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial operations.
- Experience in managing accounting operations and financial closing processes.
- Experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
- Experience working with ERP and financial management systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial operations.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and IFRS
