Job Title: Inventory Accountant for Branches
Location: Riyadh and the Eastern Region – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Nationality: Saudi
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Membership: Valid membership in the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) (Socpa)
Job Purpose:
To carry out the company’s periodic inventory audits for its branches and verify the accuracy of inventory balances and their alignment with records and accounting systems, while identifying discrepancies and preparing the required reports—ensuring inventory accuracy and the integrity of financial operations in the company’s branches.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct periodic and surprise inventory audits of the company’s branch inventories in Riyadh and the Eastern Region.
- Reconcile the actual inventory quantities with the data recorded in the system.
- Identify, analyze, and report inventory audit variances, determine their causes, and submit the necessary recommendations for addressing them.
- Review item movement, including sales, transfers, receiving, and returns.
- Ensure the accurate recording of items, quantities, and prices according to the approved procedures.
- Prepare periodic inventory reports and submit them to the Finance Department.
- Monitor slow-moving, damaged, or non-compliant items and include them in inventory reports.
- Coordinate with branch managers and warehouse and sales staff during inventory audit activities.
- Ensure compliance with inventory audit policies and internal control procedures.
- Participate in annual inventory audits and close the related financial periods.
- Conduct field visits to branches according to the approved inventory audit plan.
- Maintain the confidentiality of financial data and inventory data.
Requirements:
- The applicant must be Saudi
. - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
. - Valid membership in the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA).
- Prior experience in inventory, inventory auditing, and accounting
, preferably in the fashion or retail sector. - Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and accounting systems/inventory management systems.
- Ability to analyze inventory audit variances and prepare reports.
- Ability to work in the field and travel between branches in Riyadh and the Eastern Region
. - High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and within the specified inventory audit timelines.
Preferred:
Experience in retail companies with a large number of branches, along with strong knowledge of the inventory cycle, item movement, and transfers between branches.
