Position Overview

Parsons is seeking an experienced Document Controller to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This Saudi National opportunity focuses on managing project documentation throughout the complete project lifecycle, from initiation through close-out. The role requires extensive use of Electronic Document Management Systems, particularly Autodesk Construction Cloud and Aconex, to control document workflows, revisions, approvals, transmittals, registers, and project records while maintaining compliance with project, client, contractual, and quality requirements.

What You 'll Be Doing -
  • Manage document control processes from project initiation through close-out, ensuring project documents are received, registered, tracked, updated, distributed, and archived correctly.
  • Scan and electronically distribute documentation as PDF digital copies to designated recipients with accurate indexing and metadata.
  • Upload and maintain documents within the client Contract Management System, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and other approved EDMS platforms.
  • Maintain a hard-copy reference library and ensure alignment between physical documentation and controlled electronic records.
  • Manage contract document workflows, revisions, approvals, status updates, and transmittals through Autodesk Construction Cloud and other approved systems.
  • Prepare, register, and track correspondence, reports, payment requisitions, variation orders, site instructions, punch lists, and nonconformance reports.
  • Monitor submittals, safety reports, RFCs, meeting minutes, progress photographs, contract issues, and drawings.
  • Ensure current approved document versions are clearly identifiable and accessible to authorized project stakeholders.
  • Produce regular reports covering outstanding actions and responses relating to correspondence, submittals, and other controlled documentation.
  • Support project teams with EDMS user setup, folder structures, permissions, workflows, document numbering, and document control troubleshooting.
  • Maintain document control practices in accordance with Parsons procedures, client requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable quality management standards.
  • Coordinate document flows with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and client representatives.
  • Resolve documentation discrepancies and help maintain data integrity across project systems.
  • Support audits and quality reviews by providing accurate registers, logs, document histories, and evidence of approvals.
  • Maintain complete and traceable project records throughout each stage of the project lifecycle.
EDMS and Project Documentation

The Document Controller will play a central role in maintaining structured, accurate, and accessible project information. This includes controlling high volumes of design, construction, contractual, commercial, and quality documentation while ensuring that stakeholders work from current approved information. The position requires hands‑on administration of Autodesk Construction Cloud and Aconex, including project setup, folder configuration, permissions, submittals, RFIs, workflows, and the control of design and construction documentation.

What

Required Skills You 'll Bring -
  • Diploma or specialized training in document management systems or similar software.
  • Minimum 8 years of document control experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience using Electronic Document Management Systems on large-scale projects.
  • Expert‑level experience with Aconex and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Experience setting up and administering projects within EDMS platforms.
  • Experience configuring folders, permissions, document workflows, submittals, and RFIs.
  • Extensive experience controlling design and construction documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, including strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills with experience using electronic documentation systems and data management applications.
