Job Title

Civil Engineering Technician (Trainee) – Airbus Defence and Space Saudi Limited

• Inspect, monitor and supervise Civil Works construction for new buildings and towers along Saudi Arabian border locations, in partnership with Consortium Partner "AL-Rashid Trading & Contracting CO." (RTCC).
• Review Civil Works Design Drawings; verify that construction delivered in the field complies with Testing and Commissioning, Quality Assurance (QA) and approved design drawings.
• Collaborate with key site stakeholders, RTCC site engineers, sub‑contractors, and submit Request for Inspection (RFI) documentation; manage the systematic construction process from site inception to acceptance and handover.
• Oversee construction of the Civil Works Interface relating to the Airbus System, delivered as part of the Buildings and Tower scope for Minor and Major Infrastructure.
• Produce site reports and submit daily progress through Daily Progress Reports (DPR) to Back Office Engineers.

• Basic knowledge of civil construction.
• Experience in construction standards and principles.

• Civil Engineering diploma or equivalent.

• English – fluent written and spoken.
• Arabic – basic / working knowledge (desirable).

• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Teamwork in complex large project environments.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Flexibility, agility, enthusiasm and self‑confidence.
• Adherence to company Health & Safety requirements.
• Willingness to relocate within KSA; extensive driving required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project).

• Sound understanding of Civil Works building and construction, foundations, new buildings, towers, refurbishment.
• Full understanding of site construction build documentation and AutoCAD design drawings.

• Daily supervision of consortium partner works.
• Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, monthly progress reports.
• Attend RFIs, Material Inspection Reports (MIR) and witness site tests.
• Keep RFI log and publish responses on relevant drawings.
• Distribute new drawings, changes, submittals and project information to all parties.
• Monitor safety inspection and accident logs.
• Review “To Build” drawings for execution, installation, testing & commissioning.
• Raise deviations or changes to stakeholders.
• Participate in all testing & commissioning per contractual obligations.
• Verify as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with customer for site inspections.
