Job PurposeThe Quantity Surveyor Engineer will manage cost control, estimation, and contract administration for construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring projects are implemented efficiently and supervised effectively to meet budgetary, quality, and timeline requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
- Conduct quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and budgeting for infrastructure works.
- Monitor project expenditures, variations, and change orders to control costs.
- Collaborate with project engineers, contractors, and supervisors to ensure accurate implementation and cost tracking.
- Assist in contract administration, including claims, payments, and contractual compliance.
- Maintain accurate cost records and prepare periodic financial and progress reports.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering solutions.
- Support supervision teams to ensure construction activities are aligned with project specifications and standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- Proven experience in construction and infrastructure projects with hands-on exposure to implementation and supervision.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project execution techniques.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and relevant QS/construction software.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, including roads, pipelines, and water/sewage works.
- Familiarity with local construction regulations and standards.
- Professional certification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
