Job Description:
Fall Protection Systems Project Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Fall Protection Systems Project Manager with strong technical understanding of fall protection and height safety systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple ongoing projects end-to-end, coordinating with clients, supervising site teams, planning and executing work schedules, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This role includes full responsibility for project profitability (PNL) and client satisfaction.
- Project Management & Execution
- Manage multiple fall protection system projects from initiation through completion
- Develop project plans, schedules, manpower allocation, and task assignments
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements
- Monitor project progress and proactively address risks, delays, or cost overruns
- Technical & Site Coordination
- Demonstrate strong conceptual understanding of fall protection systems (lifelines, anchor points, guardrails, etc.)
- Coordinate site surveys, installations, inspections, and testing activities
- Serve as the main point of contact for site clients, consultants, and contractors
- Provide technical guidance to site teams and resolve on-site challenges
- Team & Workforce Management
- Supervise and coordinate site workers, installers, and subcontractors
- Designate daily and weekly work assignments
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and safe work practices
- Support workforce productivity and discipline on site
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and site representatives
- Conduct progress meetings, site walk‑throughs, and status updates
- Address client concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Cost Control & Financial Management
- Prepare and manage project budgets and cost forecasts
- Track expenses, materials, labor, and variations
- Ensure effective Project P&L (Profit & Loss) management
- Support invoicing, variation claims, and commercial close‑out
- Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare regular project status, cost, and progress reports
- Maintain project documentation, drawings, permits, and approvals
- Ensure proper project handover and completion documentation
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of fall protection systems and height safety concepts
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in construction, industrial safety, or engineering services
- Experience managing site teams and dealing directly with clients
- Solid knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and cost control
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Engineering or technical diploma/degree (Mechanical, Civil, Safety, or related field)
- Experience working in industrial, construction, oil & gas, or infrastructure environments
- Knowledge of international or local fall protection standards (e.g., EN, OSHA, ANSI)
- PMP or project management certification (preferred but not mandatory)
- Technical & Industry Skills
- Strong conceptual knowledge of fall protection and height safety systems
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, layouts, and system designs
- Understanding of relevant safety standards and regulations (e.g., EN, OSHA, ANSI or local codes)
- Site installation, inspection, and commissioning knowledge
