A leading general contractor with a strong presence in the Middle East, specializing in large-scale infrastructure and complex construction projects. The company is renowned for its expertise in airport development and delivering high-quality aviation infrastructure.
The RoleReporting to the Site Manager, Supervisors will be responsible for overseeing and managing on-site construction activities specifically related to airport pavement and asphalt works. This role involves ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, safety standards, and quality control measures for critical airport infrastructure, while effectively leading and coordinating construction teams.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and direct on-site construction activities for airport pavement and asphalt projects, ensuring efficient progress and adherence to schedules.
- Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering drawings, and aviation safety regulations.
- Implement and enforce strict health, safety, and environmental regulations on the construction site, particularly those relevant to airport operations.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve site-related issues and optimize resource allocation.
The successful candidate will have experience in airport pavement and asphalt construction and demonstrate:
- Key skill or qualification: A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Relevant certifications in construction supervision or airport safety are highly advantageous.
- Relevant technical or commercial experience:
Proven experience in supervising airport pavement and asphalt projects. A strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and equipment specific to airport runways, taxiways, and aprons is essential. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills:
Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage site personnel, coordinate with subcontractors, and report progress to project management.
