Senior Construction Manager / Senior Resident Engineer – Medical

Our client is an international project management company involved in the project management of several large medical projects. They seek a senior construction manager with client‑side project management experience to oversee the construction of the facilities. The role will involve managing construction managers, project engineers and liaising with other senior core project staff on several hospital projects.

• Develop construction/contracting strategy and implement.
• Provide pre‑construction services on constructability, safety reviews, design interface, construction scheduling, resource planning, budget reviews and site set‑up/logistics.
• Establish the Construction Management Plan (CMP), Construction Safety & Health Plan, Construction Management Site Manual, Construction Execution Plan and Contractor Interface Procedures.
• Manage the construction managers and project engineers, ensuring team members have received company induction/project procedures and fully understand their responsibilities, particularly in relation to safety management.
• Ensure that project personnel are assigned when required and demobilised when their workscope is satisfactorily complete.
• Oversee the implementation of the project’s systems and procedures.
• Ensure that contractors are fully aware of their obligations and responsibilities under their contracts, and that the terms and conditions are fulfilled by all relevant parties.
• Ensure completion of the project in accordance with all project goals, especially in the areas of safety, quality, time, and cost.
• Responsible for all formal communication to the customer, designers, contractors and others.
• Organise and manage the handover of systems and facilities to the customer in accordance with project requirements.

• At least 15 years of experience.
• Major experience in Western countries with some experience in the Gulf region.
• Medical experience would be highly beneficial.
• Site or project management experience with consultants or project management companies.
• Degree qualified.
• Knowledge of project scheduling and cost control with experience in MP or P3/P6.
