Responsibilities:
- Execute routine demolition and site preparation duties under general supervision with full accountability for work quality and safety compliance.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to evaluate, select, and implement solutions that meet rigorous engineering and construction specifications.
- Exercise sound professional judgment in all aspects of work execution, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols.
- Conduct independent walk‑downs and inspections of installed commodities to verify strict conformance with specifications and design requirements.
- Perform detailed quantity surveys for accurate tracking, documentation, and reporting of project progress and resource allocation.
- Provide technical direction and oversight to drafters, technicians, and surveyors as assigned, ensuring consistent execution of project standards.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in demolition, site preparation, or heavy construction
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification or equivalent
- Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and technical specifications
- Strong knowledge of demolition equipment operation and safety protocols
- Ability to perform physical labor in varying weather conditions and at heights
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Certification as a Demolition Specialist or equivalent professional credential
- Experience with quantity surveying and project documentation
- Proven experience providing technical supervision to construction crews
- Proficiency with construction management software and digital surveying tools
- Knowledge of environmental remediation and hazardous materials handling
- Experience conducting site inspections and compliance audits
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration
