Senior Quantity Surveyor Specialist

Location:

Riyadh Contract Duration: 10 Aug 2026 - 1 March 2027 (Contract-Based Role)

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor Specialist to support the Overlay & Temporary Infrastructure Department for a major sporting event in Saudi Arabia. This role plays a critical part in the planning, costing, and delivery of temporary event structures, facilities, and supporting infrastructure required for a world-class sporting experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cost planning, budgeting, estimating, and financial management across all temporary infrastructure and overlay packages.
  • Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost reports, tender documents, and change assessments.
  • Evaluate contractor proposals, manage procurement processes, and support contract negotiations.
  • Conduct site inspections and quantify works to verify contractor progress, variations, and payment applications.
  • Review technical drawings and temporary structure designs to identify cost impacts and ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with overlay planners, design teams, engineers, venue operations, and contractors to ensure seamless delivery of temporary structures and facilities.
  • Provide ongoing cost risk assessments, value engineering recommendations, and change control oversight.
  • Support project close-out procedures including final accounts and contractual reconciliation.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 6-10 years of experience, ideally in major events, temporary infrastructure, overlay works, large-scale venues, or fast-track construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction procurement, cost management, and contractual frameworks.
  • Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple packages simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in cost management tools and MS Office.
