Role Context Major infrastructure projects frequently generate complex claims involving design development, changing scope, interfaces, delayed access, disruption, prolongation, and contractor performance. Accurate assessment requires contractual knowledge supported by reliable cost, schedule, and technical evidence. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will connect these records to defensible commercial conclusions. Clear entitlement and quantum analysis will support fair settlements, reduce dispute exposure, and help project leadership make informed contractual decisions.

• Advise on contractual entitlement, interpretation, and risk allocation.
• Apply FIDIC and other relevant contract conditions to project matters.
• Assess, prepare, and respond to contractor claims.
• Develop clear claim narratives supported by contemporaneous evidence.
• Maintain a claims register covering status, milestones, actions, and outcomes.
• Draft contractual notices, responses, determinations, and formal correspondence.
• Identify commercial interfaces across MEP, civil, structural, architectural, and transportation packages.
• Assess responsibility for scope gaps, dependencies, and interface-related impacts.
• Develop claim-defense strategies supported by contract and project records.
• Participate in commercial negotiations and settlement discussions.
• Support dispute avoidance and early claim resolution.
• Provide input to mediation, adjudication, arbitration, or other formal proceedings.
• Perform forensic quantum analysis for cost claims.
• Evaluate prolongation, disruption, loss of productivity, and related financial impacts.
• Validate contractor submissions using measured work, procurement records, and subcontractor accounts.
• Prepare independent and evidence-based quantum reports.
• Conduct detailed extension-of-time assessments.
• Review critical-path analyses and delay substantiation.
• Evaluate concurrency, dependencies, sequencing, and mitigation measures.
• Work with planners to test delay assumptions and schedule evidence.
• Align delay conclusions with associated cost implications.
• Provide strategic commercial advice to reduce contractual risk.
• Conduct contract audits and commercial reviews across multiple packages.
