Role Context Construction programs depend on accurate schedules that connect design, procurement, approvals, resources, site activities, and handover obligations. If progress data is incomplete or delays are identified too late, teams lose the opportunity to take effective recovery action. The Project Planner will convert delivery information into measurable schedule updates and practical performance insight. Consistent monitoring will help protect contractual milestones, coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces, and improve confidence in forecast completion dates.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain project schedules based on approved scope and milestones.
- Align planning activities with contractual and client requirements.
- Develop schedule structures, activity logic, and delivery sequences.
- Review contractor baseline schedules for completeness and feasibility.
- Assess revised programs, recovery schedules, and periodic updates.
- Monitor actual performance against planned dates and approved baselines.
- Validate reported progress using project records and team input.
- Identify delays, critical activities, emerging risks, and schedule constraints.
- Assess potential effects on interim milestones and project completion.
- Conduct schedule analysis and communicate areas requiring management attention.
- Support weekly and monthly progress reporting.
- Prepare planning narratives, look-ahead programs, and dashboard updates.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Collect accurate progress information from multidisciplinary teams.
- Track key milestones, submissions, approvals, deliverables, and interfaces.
- Maintain logs for schedule issues, delays, and required follow-up actions.
- Support the evaluation of extension-of-time claims and schedule submissions.
- Assist with reviewing delay evidence and reported time impacts.
- Maintain planning records and supporting schedule-control documentation.
- Ensure reports remain consistent with project procedures and agreed standards.
- Provide timely schedule information for progress meetings and management reviews.
- Support corrective-action and recovery planning when performance falls behind target.
- Manage several planning priorities within required reporting deadlines.
- Bachelor 's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum five years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
- Background supporting building or infrastructure construction projects.
- Experience with in construction supervision, project-management consultancy, engineering consultancy, or contractor environments.
- Ability to prepare, review, and update detailed construction schedules.
- Understanding of baseline programs, recovery plans, and look-ahead schedules.
- Familiarity with progress measurement and schedule-performance analysis.
- Ability to identify critical activities, delays, and emerging delivery risks.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
