Assistant Project Manager

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Saudi national to join Omnium s Project Management teams in Riyadh or Jeddah supporting the successful delivery of major construction and development projects As an Assistant Project Manager you will work closely with experienced Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate monitor and support projects throughout the full project lifecycle The role offers broad exposure to project management stakeholder coordination reporting programme management and construction delivery You will play a key role in supporting project teams coordinating with clients consultants contractors and other stakeholders and helping ensure project activities are delivered efficiently and in line with project objectives At Omnium we are committed to developing Saudi construction professionals and providing clear opportunities for career growth You will receive guidance and mentorship from experienced industry professionals while progressively taking on greater responsibility across project activities This role is ideal for a motivated engineering professional looking to develop a long-term career in project management and gain valuable experience on major construction and development projects

• Assist the Project Manager with the planning coordination and delivery of construction projects
• Support the management of project scope programme quality cost and risk objectives
• Coordinate with clients consultants contractors and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
• Monitor project progress against approved programmes and highlight delays risks and areas requiring attention
• Assist with reviewing contractor progress updates reports and deliverables
• Support the preparation of weekly and monthly project reports dashboards and client presentations
• Attend project meetings and contribute to discussions action planning and follow-up activities
• Maintain project action trackers risk registers issue logs and change control records
• Assist with the review of technical submissions project documentation and contractor deliverables
• Support the coordination of design procurement construction and handover activities
• Assist in monitoring contractor performance and progress against project requirements
• Support the implementation of project management procedures reporting standards and governance requirements
• Develop an understanding of contracts commercial processes procurement and construction methodologies
• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery coordination and efficiency
• Take ownership of specific project tasks packages and assigned responsibilities
• Support junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the wider project team

• Saudi Arabian national
• Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• 2 5 years experience in construction, engineering, project management, consultancy, or a related environment.
• Previous experience supporting the delivery of construction projects is preferred.
• Experience working with clients, consultants, contractors, or other project stakeholders is advantageous.
• Engineering background in Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline.
• Good understanding of construction processes, project controls, reporting, and project delivery methodologies.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to identify and escalation potential risks or issues.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Training Bachelor s degree in Engineering or a related construction discipline
• Relevant experience in construction engineering or project management environments
• Experience with project management tools and reporting systems would be advantageous
