MOBCO Group is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to lead and oversee project planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, progress monitoring, and project performance reporting across our construction projects.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience with established construction and contracting companies, with proven expertise in both Planning and Cost Control, and the ability to provide accurate project performance analysis and recommendations to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Project Controls function across assigned projects.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor baseline schedules and integrated master programmes.
- Manage project planning and scheduling using Primavera P6.
- Monitor planned versus actual progress and identify schedule deviations.
- Lead project cost control, including budgets, commitments, actual costs, accruals, and forecasts.
- Prepare and review monthly cost reports, cash-flow forecasts, and project financial forecasts.
- Monitor project performance against approved cost, schedule, and progress baselines.
- Analyze project trends, delays, cost overruns, and performance variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and monitor recovery programmes and acceleration plans for delayed projects.
- Manage project risk registers, change control, variations, and cost/schedule impacts.
- Coordinate with Project Management, Planning, Commercial, Contracts, Procurement, Engineering, and Construction teams.
- Prepare accurate weekly and monthly project controls reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
- Support project teams in EOT, delay analysis, claims, variations, and contractual matters.
- Establish and maintain project controls procedures, KPIs, reporting standards, and performance-monitoring systems.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Planning, Cost Control, and Project Controls teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in Project Controls.
- Strong experience in both Planning/Scheduling and Cost Control.
- Proven experience with reputable construction or contracting companies.
- Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and advanced MS Excel.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, progress measurement, and project performance analysis.
- Good understanding of construction methodologies, project execution, and contractual requirements.
- Experience with large-scale, multi-disciplinary, infrastructure, building, or major construction projects.
- Saudi Arabia/GCC experience is preferred.
- PMP, AACE, PMI-SP, PSP, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
