Civil inspector

We are currently seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Civil Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in civil construction inspection activities, with the ability to ensure that civil and infrastructure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable standards, and quality requirements.

About the Role

The selected candidate will play a key role in monitoring site activities, inspecting civil works, maintaining quality compliance, and supporting the successful delivery of mixed-use development projects. The candidate will work closely with contractors, consultants, and project teams to ensure that construction works meet the required technical and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of civil works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project standards.
• Monitor construction activities and verify that works are executed in accordance with approved materials, procedures, and quality requirements.
• Inspect concrete, structural, earthworks, roads, paving, drainage, utilities, and other civil works as applicable to the project.
• Review materials, workmanship, installation methods, and construction processes to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Identify, document, and follow up on non-conformance issues and ensure corrective actions are properly implemented.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, engineers, and project teams to resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Attend inspections and testing activities and verify compliance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Review and verify relevant shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests as required.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, site observations, and other quality-related documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals, observations, and non-conformance reports.
• Monitor construction progress and coordinate with the project team to support timely project delivery.
• Ensure that civil works comply with applicable Saudi Arabian codes, standards, project specifications, and authority requirements.
• Support the implementation of project quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• Perform any other duties related to civil inspection and site supervision as assigned by the Project Manager or relevant management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in civil construction inspection and site supervision.
• Proven experience in mixed-use development projects is mandatory.
• Experience in large-scale residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, infrastructure, or integrated mixed-use developments is highly preferred.
• Experience working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is preferred.
• Knowledge of relevant Saudi and international construction standards and specifications.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of civil construction inspection procedures, materials, testing, and construction standards.
• Good understanding of concrete works, earthworks, roads, paving, drainage, utilities, and associated civil works.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, and ITPs.
• Strong knowledge of quality control procedures and non-conformance management.
• Excellent organizational, communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify construction deficiencies.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ability to manage multiple inspections and site activities in a fast-paced project environment.
